World Snooker Tour Structure
The Tour will consist of 96 players which will be broken down as shown below for the forthcoming season. The exciting prospect for international governing bodies in the future structure is the guaranteed places directly onto the Tour from the 2006/2007 season. The path for aspirational players from grass roots to the top of the sport is now clear and concise, which meets the demands of the players and the sport going forward. The criteria for selecting the places awarded to the national governing bodies (NGB) will, where necessary, be finalised through discussions between each NGB and World Snooker. Nominations for wildcard places for The Tour 2005/2006 should be made in writing by the NGB and be received by World Snooker no later than close of business 28 March 2005. Note: All qualification events must be played using WPBSA Rules and Regulations.
