2010 Oceania Billiards & Snooker Championships

I would like to officially advise all countries within the Oceania region that the 2010 Oceania Billiards & Snooker Championships will be held in Australia 20th – 28th March at the Mt Pritchard Community Club in Sydney.

It is intended that Test Matches are played between Australia and New Zealand, and PNG and Fiji on the Saturday 20th March followed by the Opening ceremony that evening.

The Billiards Championships will commence on the morning of the 21st and run during the day for 4 days, with a 6red Championship being contested in the evenings. The winner of the 6Red Championships will earn a spot at the World Grand Prix in Thailand in July 2010.

Whilst both the Billiards and the 6Red Championships are being held it is hoped to be able to conduct a Test competition for the ladies between all the countries.

The Mens Snooker round robin stage of the Championships will commence on the Wednesday being played through to the final on the Sunday afternoon. The Womens Championships round robin stage will commence on the Thursday through to the final on the Sunday morning.

There will be a closing ceremony and dinner after the completion of the Mens final on the Sunday evening.
